As a web designer I often receive requests to update old websites and make them more modern and user-friendly. I had the pleasure of working with The Nepal Trust a UK-based charity organisation that aims to alleviate poverty, improve healthcare, education and preserve cultural heritage in remote parts of Nepal.
When The Nepal Trust approached me their website was outdated and cluttered with unnecessary files. They wanted a complete overhaul to showcase their work and engage with potential donors effectively. After a few online meetings with the team I came up with a new design and structure for their website, focusing on easy navigation, compelling visuals and relevant information.
The new website has a fresh and modern look that aligns with the Nepal Trust’s values and mission. The landing page welcomes visitors with images from Nepal and a brief introduction to the charity’s work. The top navigation menu is clear and concise leading to different sections of the site such as About us, Where we work, What you can do, and News.
One of the main goals of the website is to showcase The Nepal Trust’s past and present projects and their impact on the communities they serve. Another essential aspect of the website is to make it easy for people to donate to the charity. I added a Donate button on the top right corner of the website providing different options to support projects.
I’m chuffed to have worked on The Nepal Trust’s new online presence and helping them reach more people to support their vital work in Nepal. The website is easy to navigate, visually appealing and informative. It also reflects the passion and dedication of the charity.
