Urban Freedom is a joint EU, Sustrans and Moray Council project designed to create more opportunities for residents to undertake journeys by active and/or sustainable means. The current funding is for the communities of Buckie, Keith and Forres. Their website aims to provide information on sustainable travel and keep you up to date and involved in the project.
The aim of the project is to help reduce short car journeys, increase levels of active travel and leave a lasting legacy of improved infrastructure.
This is delivered along with the promotion of the benefits to individuals, society and the environment from changing our travel habits towards more active and/or sustainable
forms of travel.
